LastΒ ChristmasΒ my sister and family brought a Gingerbread House kit for them and their cousins to put together. Was that ever a sight to see and hear.Β They did manage to put the gingerbread house kit together but realized to late and I mean to late they put it together wrong. In fact, it was after they had the house was already put together they realized this. Like I said way to late. No big deal it still looked good. Yes it is still standing to this day too. We have kept it in the freezer.
My 4 nieces and 1 nephew had fun trying to put it together. Oh the giggling we heard and the talking. It was so nice to have them together making something and knowing they were working together even made it better.Β A picture of the finished product is below.
You see the Stewart household is usually busy atΒ ChristmasΒ and with 3 kids in college, 1 about to graduate high school and ready to go to college and 1 is still in high school.Β So getting together isn’t easy. We’re always thrilled when all of us can get together even if that means doing Christmas a day early. I love the laughter that goes throughout the house.
Merry Blogmas Everyone.

Yes, Christmas is always a good time for family to come together. I love the time spent as well as all the foodπ! Never thought about making a gingerbread house tho’. Boy that looks good too. How long does it take to make?π€

My nieces and nephew made the gingerbread house so I really don’t know how long it takes.

That gingerbread house is adorable! I’ve tried to make one a couple times, but never could get it to stay ‘glued’ together….

The 4 nieces and nephew found out they put it together wrong after they had it all put together. It still turned out good though. Glad you like it.

Around our house, when munchkins are involved, a certain cat thinks she must be involved, too…

Daisy Mae leaves us alone. She sleeps all day but runs around in the Morning and Night. I think it would be tough to bake if a Cat has to be involved. MOL>””<

Purrseidon sleeps when Master Munchkin sleeps… they are rarely very fr from each other. That fact often makes getting photos of her alone difficult. While I;m not anti-muchkin, they have a pet blog and to be honest, there are a lot of questionable characters looking for prey on the internet, so keeping kids’ photos off is also protective…. possibly over-protective.

What is there blog link? I here you there. My sister has gotten on me and she’s quite protective too. She said she checked my blog out and there were things she didn’t like but really didn’t say what those things were. I asked my 15 year old nephew and he thought things were OK. He knows more about computers than his mom so I trust him. I’ve put pictures up of my nieces and nephew and sisters and 1 cousin and me so I don’t know.π€·π€·

I think it’s whatever you’re comfortable with. I also think constructive advice is difficult for many to give. For instance, I like ‘white space’ as well as photos with limited text… I follow some blogs that look ‘busy as a crazy quilt’ at first sight; blogs that are purposefully written in ‘baby talk’; and even some author blogs that have a very dark (black / brown) background with light text in a small font…. the latter one annoys me because I find it difficult to read. (Others might think it’s fine.) Regardless, I can’t help but wonder why someone would go to the effort of writing a post then make it difficult to read….. And as I type this, it occurred to me that my website’s main portions have a black background with white text, so I need to verify how easy they are to read and maybe chat with my web-maven….

I don’t mind blogs with black with white background. I think you’ll be fine just keep typing on white. Personally for me I like the lighter colors. Nothing wrong with what you’ve chosen.

I checked my website after commenting – the main pages have a black background, with white text. I think the text is large enough and plain enough to be easy to read, so I didn’t ask for any changes.

It looked fine to me. Whatever you like and think works for you.

M is slowly but surely getting back into his routine, though I’m hearing a few growls about Purr posting about water…. She has never meowed about his obsession with the moon or rockets.
