Goodreads Widget

Some of the blogs I follow have Goodreads widgets. I have read several books too and just added a Goodreads widget(that I’m thinking about deleting because it’s not working for me). Oh what a surprise!! I have contacted WordPress and they are trying to help but no luck. My books refuse to show. The widgets there but books won’t show. 

If you can help me by telling me how to get the books to show I will be appreciative and grateful.

I read this great post called Amagreen And Awards on samanthamurdochblog .

I would like to thank samanthamurdochblog for nominating me for the Blogger Recognition Award and The Black Cat Blue Sea Award. Because this is a combination post, I’ll be talking about both awards in this post.

For the Blogger Recognition Award you have to tell the story of how your blog began I did that here . As a post-script to my story, I decided to take a 14 day course in the fundamentals of blogging to help me.

1. Don’t do what I did and that’s take a blogging course after you start blogging. If you really want to start blogging, Take blogging courses FIRST.

A Brief Overview Of How My Blog Began

 

 

Part of the Blogger Recognition Award, I have to tell the story of how your blog began. So the following is how my blog came about.

I started blogging because I wanted to have some fun and I was curious. I never realized how technical it would get but I must say I’ve had a lot of fun and met a lot of nice bloggers. Blogging didn’t come easy for me but once I got started, I learned a lot to get me through blogging.

My blog started out with the name COUNTRY LIVING. Then shortly there after,  I renamed my blog to WELCOME TO CRYSTAL’S SITE(ORIGINALLY COUNTRY LIVING). I started WELCOME TO CRYSTAL’S SITE(ORIGINALLY COUNTRY LIVING) in January of 2017. It’s been about 6 or 7 months now and I’m still having fun blogging. Not only have I met several nice people through blogging but I follow several different blogging sites.

After blogging for 3 months, I decided to start CRYSTAL’S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE because I had so much fun blogging. I’ll talk about that blog in a separate post but since I started WELCOME TO CRYSTAL’S SITE(ORIGINALLY COUNTRY LIVING) has got 185+  followers since January.  This really pleases me that I’ve reached this many followers and it’s all because of my faithful readers and followers.

My blog has pictures, posts and reblogs.

I’ve started taking a 14 day course in the Fundamentals of Blogging. After that, I’ll go from there.

My blog is WELCOME TO CRYSTAL’S SITE(ORIGINALLY COUNTRY LIVING).  It’s about the country and much more. I do reblog every-now-and-then.

When I started my blog it was mainly out of curiosity and fun but now that I’ve got a few months under my belt I really enjoy it.

Choices: Good And Bad

Above are examples of choices. On the left, someone is choosing to go into the service and on the right a bear choosing to get something to eat in someone’s backyard. Both examples are risky choices.

We are given the ability to have choices to teach us responsibility. From a young age we are taught Right from wrong. When we get to our Pre-teen and teenage years, we choose for ourselves. Sometimes we make the right choice and sometimes we make the wrong choice.  Sometimes we regret the bad choices we make.

So before we make a choice be sure to think it through before you choose to go that way.  There is always a risk involved with whatever you choose but sometimes the risk pays off and sometimes it doesn’t.

If you don’t want to choose the wrong choice, here are some tips you can go by:

1. Don’t hang out with the wrong crowd.
2. Before making your choice think it through.
3. Write the Pros down.
4. Write the Cons down.
5. Weigh the Pros and Cons.

You’ll find if you do some or all of these steps, it will help you make the best choice. However, remember animals don’t have this luxury.
