As many of you know I asked you to share, share and share some more. I asked you to do this because it might help a blind cat who weighs only around 5 pounds. I’m here with an update on sweet Sadie. She is still alive but the outlook is very grim I’m sad to say. I have been just told she may only have a week left before Sadie crosses the Rainbow Bridge. If you know someone who wants a pet and is willing to give them a forever home. Please ask them to give Sadie a forever home. This cat deserves it.

Around My Birthday and Christmastime, I was fortunate to win a book by Courtney Livingston called The Smart Girl’s Guide to Surviving Her Twenties. Now I can only imagine what you all must be thinking. Why would a 50-year-old want to read a book that is mostly geared toward the people in their twenties? Interesting question which deserves an interesting answer. I wondered the same thing until I started reading the book. Despite the book’s title this book is for everyone not just twenty year olds.
WHAT I THOUGHT OF THE BOOK:
This book was in my opinion fantastic. It was not only geared for our young people in their twenties but the points and ideas that were made could be used by everyone. The ideas about health, exercising, finances and much, much more. I found the book interesting and helpful to all who read it.
IS THE TILE RIGHT FOR THE BOOK?:
I will answer this question with a yes. Why is it right? I think the title is right even though this book applies to everyone the title The Smart Girl’s Guide to Surviving Her Twenties is right in my opinion because when you start young like in your twenties it help you continue the habits when you get older.
I was given permission to write this review and snap a couple of photos by Courtney Livingston who is the Author of the book I just reviewed. Also, I won the book through a contest on Courtney Livingston’s blog so this book was not given to me to do this review.

LOOKING BACK ON THE YEAR 2017:
As I look Back on the year 2017 I find that like any blogger there were ups and downs. I started my blogging venture on January 9, 2017 for WELCOME TO CRYSTAL’S SITE(ORIGINALLY COUNTRY LIVING) and in April 2017, I started CRYSTAL PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE. As you might notice that CRYSTAL’S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE received a make-over, a new name and a new tag. CRYSTAL’S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE is now CRYSTAL AND DAISY MAE‘S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE and the tag has been updated to say PHOTOS, BLOGGING,FAMILY, ANIMALS, COUNTRY LIVING, POETRY AND MORE. Oh what an experience that has been. During 2017, I took 3 blogging courses from Blogging University to learn more about blogging.

3. Which of your blog posts was your favorite this year and why? What a tough question. I was honored in many ways in 2017 and I was grateful for that but my favorite posts have to be when KittyClysm honored both of my blogs as Pet Blogs.
4. In terms of your blog, how do you measure success? I tend to measure my blogs success by shares, views, reblogs, page views, comments and the people I meet online. I enjoy conversing with others by their blog or blogs.
5. In what ways has your blog changed in 2017? Both of my Blogs had a name change and my one blog, CRYSTAL AND DAISY MAE’S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE had a complete makeover.
6.What was the biggest blogging challenge you overcame in 2017, and what did you learn that could help other bloggers? I had many challenges when I started blogging but the one thing I learned and would recommend to other bloggers and would-be bloggers out there is that before you start blogging you should:
Do research on Domain Sites.
Learn about the plans available(The cost).
Choose a site.

Daisy Mae In The Christmas Tree Box. This Was Christmas Time 2017.
Hello Everyone, Daisy Mae here and I’m excited. Today is Christmas Day and Day 25 Of Blogmas(which is the end of Blogmas.) I tried to do a selfie for Christmas but as you see above that didn’t work out so well.
My Christmas went well. I got to be with my family. However despite being a very good kitty all year I didn’t get everything on my Christmas list. I guess Santa Paws just couldn’t pull it off or he ran out of room in his sleigh.
I asked Sister Crystal If I could help with today’s blog post since it’s Christmas Day. Can you believe my sister did a post a day? I guess small miracles do happen.
These last 24 days she’s been busy writing about different things that usually happen around Christmas and some things that might help you around this time of year. I thought it was time for me to give her some help. Isn’t that nice of me?

Today is Day is Day 18 of Blogmas which means tomorrow at 11:30 PM Eastern Time, I will turn 50. Am I excited? you bet I am. I’m sure some of you thought I might be depressed. I’m not, I’m excited.
I have been on a personal countdown for more than a month. Having a birthday is fun and for those of you who hate birthdays well a birthday is just a number. In fact, a friend who I used to work with always told me starting at 50 she considered it years young not old plus she took her age and subtracted 1 year each time she had a birthday. Interesting isn’t it?

Today is the 16th day of Blogmas and honestly I was having writers block until I read my devotions this Morning. I thought how neat and interesting it would be if I wrote on the uniqueness of snowflakes. With winter here and some of got 5 to 7 inches of snow it’s interesting to just watch the snowflakes. So I decided to do Day 16 on Snowflakes(The Legend Of The Snowflake).

As people we are unique ourselves. None of us is alike and we all have different passions, different likes and different dislikes. Also, some of us like cats for pets, some like dogs for pets, some like like both cats and dogs and some like snakes. Yes I said snakes. Now that you know how unique we are let’s go onto snowflakes.
Snowflakes are unique too only in different ways. In fact there is not one snowflake that is alike. Even though some snowflakes are extra small, some snowflakes are small, some snowflakes are medium size and some snowflakes are big but all snowflakes are unique no matter what size they are. All snowflakes even taste different But despite that we are taught snowflakes are unique the question remains are they really? I did some research on this question and found some Links For The Uniqueness Of Snowflakes. I found it interesting and hope you do too.

Now that your done Christmas shopping and hopefully stayed within your budget, It’s time to Elf Yourself. What do I mean by don’t forget to Elf Yourself? It means that when you’re done shopping for others and have money left over go buy yourself something to reward yourself or just because you deserve it. If you choose not to buy anything for yourself, you can always use the following ideas.

I remember when I was working I would start my Christmas shopping in January and have it completed by October. Now I start later like July and finish by the middle of December. Last Christmas my sister and family brought a Gingerbread House kit for them and their cousins to put together. Was that ever a sight to see and hear. They did manage to put the gingerbread house kit together but realized to late and I mean to late they put it together wrong. In fact, it was after they had the house was already put together they realized this. Like I said way to late. No big deal it still looked good. Yes it is still standing to this day too. We have kept it in the freezer.
My 4 nieces and 1 nephew had fun trying to put it together. Oh the giggling we heard and the talking. It was so nice to have them together making something and knowing they were working together even made it better. A picture of the finished product is below.
You see the Stewart household is usually busy at Christmas and with 3 kids in college, 1 about to graduate high school and ready to go to college and 1 is still in high school. So getting together isn’t easy. We’re always thrilled when all of us can get together even if that means doing Christmas a day early. I love the laughter that goes throughout the house.

The Supermoon or yule happens when the moon is closest to the earth and this time it will appear for 3 days (Friday to Monday).

The full moon or Supermoon will be a mere 492 km (306 miles) away from Earth, making it appear 13.6% larger in diameter and 29% larger in the area. It will also appear 7% more intense and brighter because the Earth will be closest to the sun.
What Was It Like To Witness The Supermoon or Yule Moon?:
It was an awesome sight. It was not only beautiful but bright too. It was framed or surrounded with colors of pinks, reds, greens, blues and yellows. So pretty to witness. It could have been a beacon in the sky it was so bright. I took pictures from 3 different angles. One on Zoom, One on Medium Zoom and One from far away.
Conclusion:
It was a beautiful, bright moon framed in color. How appropriate, a colorful frame for a big and bright moon that shined like beacon in the sky. You see this year I have reached another milestone in my life. I’m a half of a century old. That’s right, I’m 50 years old. I hope you all come over to both of my blogs to celebrate my birthday. I figure so what. Why? because I look at it this way 50 is only 14 in scrabble, 50 is 18 with 32 years experience and 50 is like 8 years in cat years.
I have to tell you all that for years I’ve been telling my family and everyone that mentions that I’m middle-aged that I’m not middle-aged to I’m 50. They laugh and call me the queen of denial. It’s just I don’t feel old or middle-aged and until I do, I won’t be middle-aged. 50 is just a number to me and I embrace every year as they come. I just feel fortunate to be celebrating another year and this year I want to celebrate my birthday with my blogging friends.

I wrote a short poem about my dog Shandar who died. I called it A TRIBUTE TO SHANDAR.
Shandar~You came into our lives as an Alaskan Malamute puppy dog~Your dad was a champion and a Kal-Kan dog~You were the runt of the litter~You were a possible show dog~And not Expected to get as big as you got. ~ You took us for walks~You pounced on our beds and Pillows ~Chewed blankets ~ But all in all~You were a dog with a good disposition.
Shandar~You will be sadly missed but not forgotten~ You are forever in our hearts and Always be.~ Thank you for the many years of love and being our pet.~They were not only joyous~But they were also a blessing.
Please forgive the yellowing around the edges of this picture. On 11-9-1989, I drew this picture of my dog who passed away. I thought it was a fitting tribute to her.
I named this picture A Pleasant Surprise because my nephew and his family thought the deer ate all his sunflowers. As it turns out, some of those sunflowers still bloomed. He was thrilled because he put a lot of work into planting them.

Deer like most animals~Like to eat~In Fact if you feed Deer, you will probably not only end up feeding the Deer~But you will end up~Feeding other animals too.~When you Feed Deer~The Deer will eventually get to know you~And become Friendly to the Place~Where you can almost walk up to them.~Always remember,~Deer are still wild Animals~And still have instincts~That were born right in them~So always be careful~No Matter what~And to make it more interesting~You might want to get a Game Camera to Watch the Deer~And what else might come along.
