10 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT ME

1. I LOVE MY HAIR. My hair is naturally curly and I only have to get it cut a few times. Also, I haven’t had to color or dye my hair yet. I have NO grey hairs. I love the fact I can wash my hair and go. No mouse, styling, curling iron needed.
2. I LOVE HOW I CARE. I love how I can care about others when they come to me with their problems.
3. I LOVE THE FACT I’M A BULLYING SURVIVOR. You read right I survived being bullied. I was bullied through college and with the support of my family and my faith in God got me through it.
4. I LOVE THE FACT I ACHIEVED 2 DEGREES.  I graduated from a community college with an Associate Degree in Elementary Education then transferred to a 4 year university where I achieved a Sociology Degree(BS Degree). I was told after Highschool by a counselor that I would never achieve either of these degrees.
5. I LOVE THE FACT I’M SINGLE. I must admit that this was something I wasn’t crazy about when I was younger but as I got older and wiser and I got I actually love being single. I can do things when I want and can change my schedule if need be.
6. I LOVE HOW I’M DIFFERENT/SPECIAL. I’m one of a kind and despite what others may think I love the fact I’m special/different from other people.
7. I LOVE THE FACT I HAVE ROYALTY IN MY ANCESTRY. Yes, that’s right, I have royalty in my ancestry. Queen Elizabeth is in my ancestry(Not the current one). I didn’t even get an invitation to either royal wedding either. Guess it got lost in the mail. LOL 
8. I LOVE MY BLUE EYES. I love my blue eyes because they go with every outfit and I don’t need to wear colored contacts.
9. I LOVE MY KINDNESS. I’m one who likes to meet new people and go up to people and say hi and welcome them. I not only enjoy meeting new people but learning about others and where they come from.
10. I LOVE LISTENING TO OTHERS. I like listening to others problems and giving them advice. Sometimes it’s easier because we’ve been through the same/similar situation.
11.    I Love Me Because I’m  A Christian. This may seem like a crazy answer to some people but when I asked Jesus into my heart my life totally changed for the good. I’ve been blessed  many times over. Is my life easier? Not always but at least I know Jesus is there to help me.

BEAUTY TAG

Hello everyone and welcome. Simple Serenity has done a Tag called the Beauty Tag and nominated everyone who reads her post which can be found HERE. Please understand my answers will be from when I was younger mostly since I’m allergic to ALL makeup I’ve tried. I want to Once Again, I want to thank Simple Serenity for nominating everyone who read her post/blog.

1.) What do you love about makeup? 

When I wore makeup  I loved it because it covered up my blemishes. It also made me look good too.

2.) How long does it take for you to do your makeup?

When I wore makeup it took anywhere 5 to 10 minutes. Since I only where lipstick or chapstick now it doesn’t take that long.

3.) Do you remember your first makeup item?

NO

4.) Will you leave the house without makeup?

Yes. Since I’m allergic, I do it a lot.

5.) Favorite lipstick?

Anything on sale, right color and as long as it looks good. Favorite — No.

6.) Name a makeup crime that you hate?

There are many but one that comes to mind is when I was in college, a young woman was coming up the hill I was going down and I thought  I’d entered a Halloween party this young woman had that much makeup on and it was on thick and it looked to be in layers too. I could go on and on about this crime but won’t.

7.) What product do you buy mostly?

Lipsticks and glosses. I have a lot.

8.) One makeup product you can do without?

Eyeliners.

9.) Favorite makeup hack?

Always carry a cosmetic mirror/powder to touch up your makeup.

10.) Matte lips or Lip gloss?

Glossy lips all the way but sometimes wear matte lipstick.

11.) Do you wear fake eyelashes?

NO.

12.) What is your most cherished beauty makeup product?

Face powder was my most cherished beauty product.

13.) Favorite makeup brand?

Tough question. I really like the Clinique brand.

14.) What is your skin type?

Very Sensitive, Pale, Freckled and normal to oily.

15.) How many times do you wash your face daily?

This may sound crazy but due to my very sensitive skin, I don’t wash my face daily but only a few times a week.

16.) Any Acne story?

Yes. In my younger years, I used an Acne cream to try to get rid of my acne because I knew it worked. I used it this time to get rid of my acne and I broke out with more acne. It had the opposite reaction.

17.) Do you like trying out new skin care products or do you stick to a routine?

Stick to a routine.

18.) Do you think you look good even when you don’t have makeup on?

Absolutely. I love how I look and if other people don’t like how I look, that’s their problem.

• What do you want your life to look like over ten years? 

In 10 years I want to be married or at least engaged. I want to own my own business or at least be co-owners with someone else. I want to be able to make my own schedule so I can be with my family and cat.

• What do you want to ask to the future you?

Oh Wow! I think I would have a lot of questions I would want to ask. Some of my questions would probably be: Did I get married? Who did I marry? What’s he like? Did I ever get to own or co-own my own business. Did I retire or get a job? Did I ever master computers? Did I ever master blogging and the technical side of blogging? Did I ever get a chance to meet some of my blogger friends? There are so many questions I have. Did I reach my short-term goals?

• What do you want to have her remember?

I want to have her remember that I liked blogging, I wanted to own or co-own my own business and that I’m proud of ALL my nieces and nephew.

• Where do you think she’ll live?

I think she’ll live in a castle somewhere in Ireland.

Hi and Welcome to WELCOME TO CRYSTAL’S SITE(ORIGINALLY COUNTRY LIVING). I Daisy Mae have been busy getting my picture taken for my updated selfies. I worked so hard that I just had to stretch out the length of myself. Then I find out Sister Crystal is goofing off by dabbling in poetry. 1. What is your favorite pet? Cats.
2. What is your favorite snack? Popcorn slathered in butter.
3. Which place in your house do you like the most? I like my bedroom the most. The reason I like my bedroom so is because it’s warm and cozy.
4. What is your biggest hobby besides blogging. I don’t have another hobby other than blogging anymore. I used to do cross-stitching.
5. If you were able to posses magic, what kind of  magic would it be? Interesting question. The kind of magic that I could have a full-time job by owning my own business. Also,the kind of magic that I could change our world’s mind to do the right thing.
6. What is your biggest wish? My biggest wish is that everyone in my family stays healthy and our world gets some common sense.
7. Would you like your blog to be your job and Why? I haven’t been blogging a year yet so as of this time I’m not really sure.
8. What did you like most about 2017?  I have so many things I liked about 2017 it’s hard to pick just 1 particular one.
9. What would your perfect holiday be like? All of my family would be together, no grudges would be held, Nobody would be sick and we’d enjoy each other’s company and we’d overlook each other’s faults.
10. What is the meaning of education? To me education is more than getting a degree or degrees at a college or colleges. Education to me can also be what you learn in life from the time you’re born to the time you die. You see there are many ways you can be educated so take advantage of all of them because you never know when you’ll need them.
11. How did you create the name of your blog? When I created the name of my blog, I wanted it to be unique and original. I live way out in the country so I started with COUNTRY LIVING but then I got to thinking why not make it a little more personal and do a name that would welcome everyone to my site. So I came up with WELCOME TO CRYSTAL’S SITE(ORIGINALLY COUNTRY LIVING). I kept COUNTRY LIVING so that my followers  that came when I had that name would stay.

Today is Blogmas – Day 24 and Christmas Eve. What’s so special about this day? Why Santa Clause comes to town.

Now If you are like me, you like to track Santa Claus. If you have children or grandchildren you’ll be most likely tracking Santa with the Santa Tracker. The best Santa tracker to use is probably NORAD, The Official Santa Tracker. The link is NORAD Tracks Santa – Official Site. Oh sure there are other Santa Tracker Sites but finding one as good as NORAD.

Personally, I love tracking Santa Claus. Why? I love see where he’s going, Where’s he’s been and how many gifts are delivered. I also love seeing how long it takes him to get from place to place. I’ve compared sites and they differ with their stats. Why? I don’t know. What Santa Tracker Site you choose is entirely up to you.

1. What’s Your Favorite Thing About Christmas? I like getting together with family to celebrate Jesus’ Birthday.

Merry Blogmas Everyone: Day 10 – Don’t Forget To Elf Yourself

Now that your done Christmas shopping and hopefully stayed within your budget, It’s time to Elf Yourself. What do I mean by don’t forget to Elf Yourself? It means that when you’re done shopping for others and have money left over go buy yourself something to reward yourself or just because you deserve it. If you choose not to buy anything for yourself, you can always use the following ideas.

1. Put The Extra Money In Your Checking And/Or Savings Account.
2. Hide It Somewhere In Your House.
3. Give The Excess Money Away.

I remember when I was working I would start my Christmas shopping in January and have it completed by October. Now I start later like July and finish by the middle of December.  A Big difference I know. At the end of the post I’m adding a contact form so you can let me know when you start your Christmas shopping and finish it. You can leave it in the comment section too.

I’M TIRED OF BEING ORDINARY, ARE YOU? BY WM. ALLEN  was a book that is not only refreshing but humorous too. It’s like a self-help book that you’ve never seen before. The book helps you reach your goals in 52 weeks or 1 year. The picture on the front of the book is what drew me to the book plus it sounded interesting.

SMALL TOWN JUSTICE BY VALERIE HANSEN did not end as I expected it would. There could be more than 1 ending but teased you how it might end. This is a good book.

CAPITOL K-9 UNIT CHRISTMAS BY SHIRLEE McCoy AND LENORA WORTH is a 2 in 1 book that gave me the warm and fuzzies and both stories are happy stories.

This book has 2 short stories in one. It’s light-hearted and just right for season. I hope you read this book.

 

RANSOM BY TERRI REED is a book with non-stop action. It has twists and turns too in the plot. RANSOM is a very good book.

My most anticipated read well I don’t have one at this time.

1. You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next? I look at the titles then I read the back of the book then I decide what book I read. It also depends what I’m in the mood to read.
2. You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you quit or are you committed? Usually I continue reading the book but there have been times I’ve quit but that’s rare.
3. The end of the year is coming and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads Challenge. Do you try and catch up and how? I’m going to be honest here, I never took a Goodreads Challenge. In fact my personal challenge to myself is read as many books as I can without the pressure. I find it’s more enjoyable.
4. The covers do. not. match. How do you cope? Don’t worry about it. Like Danielle said not enough money to have matching covers.
5. Everyone and their mother loves a book you really don’t like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings. If I can’t find someone to share my feelings of a book, I sometimes talk to my mom.
6. You’re reading a book and you are about to start crying in public. How do you deal? I usually don’t read in public but if I were in public I’d put the book down and go somewhere private.
7. A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book? Skip the sequel? Try to find a synopsis on Goodreads? Cry in frustration?!?!?!? I would most likely re-read the book.
8. You do not want anyone. ANYONE. borrowing your books. How do you tell people nope when they ask? Just Say No!!
9. Reading ADD. You’ve picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump? Watch tv and just don’t read until I’m back in the mood to read again. That’s usually anywhere from 2 to 4 days.
10. There are so many new books coming out that you’re dying to read! How many do you actually buy? Usually not many because I’m unemployed and I’m on a budget. In September though I pre-ordered a book and in the months before, I bought some books including a book series.
11. After you’ve bought the books you can’t wait to get to, how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them? It depends. If I am in the middle of a book, I will finish reading the book and my TBR books before I start my new book.
