Bulwark Anthology: Review

bulwark anthology all books

I realize I haven’t done a book review for a while but thought I would on these 2 books. They are the 1st 2 books in the Bulwark Anthology. There is a total of 9 books in this anthology. I was fortunate enough to win a contest and the prize was the first 2 signed books in the Bulwark Anthology by Award Winning Author Brit Lunden. I will be reviewing each book separately.

What is a Bulwark? A Bulwark is: a wall or stockade that protects or sometimes hides the truth from the outside world.

The first book is called Bulwark. First of all, I normally don’t read books like this but judge each book by their cover and blurb and also don’t stereotype a book right away just because I haven’t liked other other author’s books like this.

How I Rate Books

1-2 stars = To much vulgar language and that includes the F Word. To Erotic and Graphic.

3 stars = OK plot with not as much vulgar language or doesn’t use the F word as much.

4 stars = Plot is better and author doesn’t use graphic sex, F Word (maybe once) and sometimes talks about sex.

5 or more stars = No vulgar language, no use of the F word, no graphic sex, Plot is very interesting, Has twists and turns, Book is a page turner and I don’t want to put the book down.

**Please note** If a book that would normally be 4 stars  can become 5 stars if the book is interesting enough.

So what rating did I give the books Bulwark and the Knowing? Well to be honest, I rated the books from the time I read the blurb and saw the cover. You see both books started out at about an 3 1/2 stars. Then I started reading the book and I quickly up the rating to 4 1/2 stars. Once both books were read and judged on their own merit I ended up giving both of these books 5 stars.

So what is my recommendation?  Let me put it to you this way, If you have preteens or younger, I suggest you read this book yourself and judge for yourself if it’s appropriate for your kids and grandkids. I want you to make the choice.

My Book Update

As most of you know, I tried to write a poem for a friend but the poem never developed in fact, I ended up writing my first book which was very unexpected and surprising. If you didn’t get a chance to read my post or maybe want to just to refresh your memory you can do so by going to MY ACCIDENTAL WRITING PROJECT. I do hope you click this link.

I have made a lot of progress since I last posted about my writing project. The last time I reported I was at 26,350 words. However as of 3-15-2019, I am now at  51,420 words. I haven’t decided yet but there may be a book two or I may put that book in with this book and they’ll be together. But if I do that, that will be one thick book. If I ever decide on a Book 2, I think it will be called The Royal Sentence. I’m really excited that I’ve gotten this far. Who knows, maybe one day you’ll see my published. That would be a dream come true.

I’m already living part of my dream. For those of you who have big dreams or even small dreams, keep dreaming and working your way toward them. You never know when they’ll come true.

NEVER GIVE UP!!!!

😱😱😱🤯🤯🤯🤯🙀🙀🙀WARNING!! WARNING!! SITE THIEF STEALING CONTENT!!😱😱😱🤯🤯🤯🤯🙀🙀🙀

Hello and Welcome to WELCOME TO CRYSTAL’S SITE(ORIGINALLY COUNTRY LIVING), I having some unsettling news I feel all bloggers should know about. I know how hard all of us bloggers work on our content  then to find out somebody may be stealing it. It’s just horrible just horrible.

How did I find this information out? I follow Basil’s Blog and get updates almost daily. When I read this before their main post, I was in shock and knew I had warn other bloggers. Basil’s Blog did provide the website and the site to check it is: Petzilia.

What you can do.  Ask them to take the content down but be forwarned, Basil’s Blog has tried that and were unsuccessful. Petzilia continued to steal content.  Good Luck getting your content to be taken down if it was stolen.

Here’s a selfie of a kitty cat surprised to get its picture on “Kitty Camera”. I’m not sure if this cat was trying to make a quick get a way since it’s a “cat burglar”. HAHA, LOL.

Queen Daisy Mae’s Cat Quotes

DSCN0748

Welcome everyone. I’m back for another edition of my famous Cat quotes. Those you’ll find below.

1.) Cats’ hearing apparatus is built to allow the human voice to easily go in one ear and out the other.

                                     —Stephen Baker

2.) A cat sees no good reason why it should obey another animal, even if it does stand on two legs.

                                            —Sarah Thompson

3.) Many cats simply pounce to their own drummers.

                                    —Karen Duprey

4.) Some people say that cats are sneaky, evil, and cruel. True, and they have many other fine qualities as well.

                                    —Missy Dizick

5.) Cats keep their cool, no matter what. Even when they do things like fall or lose their  balance, they’ll walk away with an attitude that seems t o say, “I meant to do that.”

                                       —Michael Jordan

6.) Prowling his own quiet backyard or asleep by the fire, he is still only a whisker away from the wilds.

                                                                                      —Jean Burden

7.) A cat will do what it wants when it wants, and there’s not a thing you can do about it.

                                       —Frank Perkins

8.) There are hundreds of good reasons for having a cat, but all you need is one.

                                     —Anonymous

9.) If cats seem distant and aloof it is because this is not their native planet—they are here just to visit and dominate.

                                  —Hank Roll

10.) The cat always leaves a mark on his friend.

                         —Aesop

11.) Nature abhors a vacuum, but not as much as cats do.

                                   —Lee Entrekin

12.) There is one way in which cats differ from all other animals, and that is in the effect they have on human beings.

                                              —Patricia Dale-Green

13.) A kitten is chiefly remarkable for rushing about like mad at nothing whatsoever and generally stopping before it gets there.

                                      —Agnes Repplier

14.) To bathe a cat takes brute force, perseverance, courage of conviction—and a cat. The last ingredient is usually hardest to come by.

                                    —Stephen Baker

15.) I don’t mind a cat, in its place. But its place is not the middle of my back at 4 a.m.

                                                           —Maynnard Good Stoddard

16.) You are my cat, and I am your human.

                                       —Hilaire Belloc

17.) Cats never feel threatened. They are genetically incapable of accepting that anyone could possibly dislike anything as perfect as a cat.

                                   —Kathy Young

18.) Personally, I don’t believe felines are a fad. We’re here to stay.

                                       —Morris the Cat
