LOL, when I was 13 my father sold ‘the farm’- literally a dairy farm, which I grew up on. After my mother died, he just didn’t want to be there any more.. I literally was moved from 500 acres to 705 S Main St ….. it was a huge culture shock, but now, I figure I can survive most anywhere.

I wish I had piano lessons as a child, I tried as an adult, but it was too hard. Very impressive about meeting Maya Angelou.

My professor took our college class to listen to her speak and afterward we got the opportunity to meet her. My poetry started after meeting her.
